According to the Fisher Funeral Home Records, pg. 179, F. Pollet was "shot." The funeral home also records that he was in the 26 La. Reg., Co. F. Pollet's marker appears to be one of the early markers in the cemetery, perhaps placed by his friends. It is found on the edge of Soldiers' Rest. His compiled service record shows he enlisted 27 Mar 1862 at the Parrish of Terrebone, La., signing up for the length of the war. Concerning his death, his record has only, "Died in Camp one 27th Sept 1862."
