 Rundeburg, John, b. 1811, RI; d. 31 Jan 1905 in Confederate Veterans Hospital, age 94. Seen in his service record as John I. and John J. (The I and J are similar in the  longhand of the time. Often the I is written like a J but sits above the script line, whereas a J will descend below the line.)

His grave marker reads John I. Rundeburg.

Rundeburg mustered into service 10 May 1861, Port Gibson. He was age 45 when enrolled at Corinth, 31 May 1861 (he had traveled 314 miles to this rendezvous).
