Campbell, Duncan A., Capt. He was born 7 Jan 1842, in Rankin Co. Miss. He died 29 Apr 1923 while a resident of Vicksburg.

He enrolled 27 Mar 1861 in Brandon, Miss., in the 10th Miss. Inf, Co. H. On 28 Aug, he transferred from Co. H to Co. F because he was elected 1st Lt. of that company.

Company muster roll for May through Aug of 1864 notes that he is absent, wounded, though at what hospital is not known; an inspection report of August 1864 states he was wounded near Atlanta and sent to hospital. On officers’ report, he is described as “competent and efficient.”

He is shown on a list of those in Tate House Hospital who were paroled in Apr 1865, Greensboro, NC.
