A memorial stone for Eugene Olivier has been placed in the Cooper Wells section of Cedar Hill Cemetery  (Vicksburg City Cemetery).

His last name has also been seen as Oliver.

He is reportedly buried in Soldiers Rest, where he currently does not have a marker.

gives the following information.

Eugene Olivier, Pvt, 28th (Thomas') La Inf, Co. K, enrolled 6 Apr 1862 at St. Landry, La.  He died 23 Jul 1862. Information from Muster Roll for 6 Apr to 31 Aug 1862, reported by Booth as being the only Roll on file.
