A memorial stone for Washington Clark has been placed in the Cooper Wells section of Cedar Hill Cemetery (Vicksburg City Cemetery).

He is reportedly buried in Soldiers Rest, Vicksburg, where he currently does not have a marker.

Booth's Index to Louisiana Confederate Soldiers at
http://www.lascv.com/booth.html, specifically,
http://www.lascv.com/b14.html gives the following information.

Washington Clark, Pvt, enrolled 29 Mar 1862 at New Orleans in the 28 Regt La Inf (Thomas'), Co. B. He was on the roll for 30 Apr to 31 Aug 1862. It was noted in Booth that he died at General Hospital of measles Jun 1863. Booth's death date of 1863 may be a typo, as the cards shown below from the compiled service record give a year of death as 1862. Also below, the two Register cards are dated 11 Oct, that is, filled out some time later.

His compiled service record is at
https://www.fold3.com/image/271/82740689

He died at Mississippi Springs in the General Hospital,.according to Booth above. (Several CSA hospitals were clustered around the area of Mississippi Springs and Clinton.)
