Barnett, John N., Pvt., Co. F, 43rd Tennessee Infantry, age 21, mustered in and enlisted November 9, 1861 at Roane, Co., Tenn., suffered a head wound suffered in a fight with Pvt. E. Scott, Co. F, on April 10, 1863, died from these wounds near Vicksburg, believe near the Antioch Church West of Warrenton, on May 8, 1863, buried Soldiers Rest, Vicksburg City Cemetery.
