Jefferson D. Laughlin served in the 48th Miss. Regt. Inf., Co. H.

He enlisted 5 Mar 1862 at Vicksburg.

He was wounded at the Battle of Gaines Mill 27 Jun 1862 and was marked
as "sick in Richmond."

However, he was back on duty for the
July - Oct 1862 Company Muster Roll.

A report of his wounding 27 Jun 1862.

He was paroled at Appomattox Court House,
Virginia, on 9 Apr 1865, the end of the war.
