Capt. Andrew J. Flanagan served in the 35th Alabama Infantry, Co F.

Though his entry rank is shown as Captain here, his service record cards show he advanced from private to captain.

In Dec 1862, Pvt. Flanagan was assigned to special duty at "Brandon Hospital, Miss."

In Mar 1862, he was promoted to 1st Lt.

By Aug 1864, he was promoted to Capt.

In 1864, Capt. Flanagan was on a receipt roll for clothing.

He appears on a roll of prisoners of war who surrendered at Citronelle, Ala. He was paroled 19 May at Grenada, Miss.
